Teaching Philosophy
I believe dance is a powerful form of expression that fosters creativity, personal growth, and connection. My teaching is guided by six key principles: cultivating community, kinesthetic knowledge, artistry, personal expression, musicality, and clear expectations. I strive to create a supportive environment where students can explore movement with both discipline and joy, using dance as a means of storytelling, self-discovery, and artistic exploration.
Modern and Contemporary Ballet
In my contemporary ballet and modern dance classes, I emphasize artistic expression, somatic and improvisational practices, technical precision, and embodied storytelling. Through a supportive and structured approach, I encourage dancers to explore movement with creativity, discipline, and authenticity.

Conditioning and Technique
I integrate Pilates and conditioning into my technique classes to enhance strength, alignment, and body awareness. By combining mindful movement with dance training, I help students build a strong, resilient foundation that supports kinesthetic awareness, injury prevention, and artistic expression.
Pilates Training
Certified through the Balanced Body Pilates program at Belhaven University, I bring a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary Pilates methods. With a year of experience teaching group classes and private sessions, I prioritize intentional movement, core stability, and breath-centered practice. My teaching style is adaptive and client-focused, aiming to create a safe, supportive environment for individuals at all fitness levels. Through precise cueing and a deep understanding of body mechanics, I help clients build strength, flexibility, and lasting body awareness.
